The Value Education Programme at Edify stimulates reflection and introspection about issues that have moral and ethical relevance. The Programme encourages students to thoughtfully choose and adhere to a set of values that is appropriate to and best reflects the challenges of their time, rather than preaching values and imposing them on them. The sessions and activities are designed to promote independent moral reasoning and support discussions about moral dilemmas and crises, from which students can develop an enduring and meaningful set of values. The Programme deals with a wide variety of themes of social significance through creative approaches and activities.
The foundation of Edify School was conceptualized as a solution to the educational needs of the students of the area. The absence of good schools resulted in students migrating to other cities, thereby depleting the area’s talent pool. Moreover, the chances of academically falling behind increased due to a lack of a strong foundation. This proved detrimental to their future educational opportunities.
